LGBTQ+ Affirming Care

  • LGBTQ+ Affirming

Affirming care means more than using the right pronouns, though we do that too. It means you won't spend your session educating your therapist about your identity, defending your relationships, or navigating a clinical lens that was never built with you in mind. Your identity is not a problem to be worked through. It's part of who you are, and it's respected here.

We work with LGBTQ+ adults navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, identity exploration, and the particular stress that comes from living in a world that doesn't always make space for you. We understand that minority stress is real and cumulative, and we factor that into how we work.

If you've had experiences with therapists or systems that weren't affirming, we understand why that might make you cautious. You can ask us questions before committing to anything.
